I will agree - the level of blatant, overt racism isn't comparable. But trumpeting that fact allows US sports reporters to ignore any other racism or discrimination that may be taking place in the US, or to pretend it's not racism at all just because it doesn't

Thanks for commenting Dennis. I agree that the video gives an anti-european impression. Americans kinda like to hate on Europe and I admit I do it myself. Much of our soccer media caters to that. Ever hear Jim Rome talk about soccer. Funny stuff.

I was surprised to find that this ESPN report was a pile of garbage. Certainly the facts are correct, but it seemed like the narrator has the attitude that America is better, that there is no racism in sports in America - both statements, of course, are ludicrous.

Also, Thierry Henry is pretty awesome.
